Frequently Asked Questions
How much water should I drink each day?
The approximate amount of water that should be consumed daily is about 30ml per kg of body weight (Hechtman, 2013). This is going to depend on your exercise level, the climate etc though it is a good rule of thumb.

The new client questionnaire will take 30-60 minutes to complete depending on the complexity of your health history. To enable you to answer each question as completely as possible you will need to set aside time to give this questionnaire your full attention. The more detail that you are able to provide will enable us to use our time together more effectively and provide you the best quality comprehensive care.

We accept credit card (No Amex), direct transfer, paypal and cash in clinic.
What is the difference between supplements prescribed by IHW and those from a pharmacy?
Pharmacies often stock supplements which are of a lesser quality and strength, which are usually poorly absorbed and in the wrong nutrient forms. Supplements prescribed through our clinic are researched and tested meaning that they are the best quality available and prescribed to meet your health and wellness needs. They are generally more absorbable and bio-available which are targeted to achieving your wellness goals.
Are health fund rebates available?
Yes. You will be provided with a receipt on payment which you will need to take to claim through your health fund.
How many appointments will I need?
The severity of your condition and your commitment to making change determines the length of treatment. Some patients only need a few consultations others may need months of treatment. We tailor treatment plans to your needs and goals and aim to make treatment as simple and effective as possible.

What is the difference between a Naturopath and Medical Doctor
Naturopathic treatment is a complementary service and work in conjunction with your Medical Doctor. Naturopaths are trained to use only natural products, lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, stress management techniques to treat health issues. Naturopaths are trained in pathology testing and use minimal invasive treatment plans. Naturopaths DO NOT take the role of a medical doctor.
